Electrical Engineer (Energy Engineer)

This position is located in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Relocation expenses will be factored.

  • Assists in managing and directing the facility engineering for data centers within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside of the continental United States (OCONUS)
  • Assists in establishing and maintaining facility standards for the safe, reliable operations of data centers which are compiled from national codes, military handbooks, and industry best practices
  • Provides Electrical Engineering assistance for technical reviews, authorized service interruption tracking and coordination for all projects and maintenance activities, power distribution units load analysis
  • Assists the Government Project Managers in transitioning and closing out of all projects from the project team to the maintenance team, and provide maintenance recommendations for these projects.
  • Provides recommendations and reviews comments regarding improvements to energy efficiency to drive down the Power Usage Effectiveness of the data centers in the maintenance and operations of existing systems, drafting SOW/PWS, cost estimates and acquisition package requirements for recommendations approved and review whole scale upgrades with a positive Return on Investment
  • This position will have travel to other facility sites
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
  • 5 years of experience in Energy Engineering or Energy Management with a focus on energy conservation for critical facilities
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) AP or equivalent program
  • Professional Engineering License preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to meet security requirements to obtain a Secret security clearance
